Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Summer is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She is qualified to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications to children, adolescents, and adults. Her specialties allow her to address an array of mental health issues across the lifespan.
After completing her Associate Degree in Nursing at Northeast MS Community College in 2012, she worked as a registered psychiatric nurse. Understanding mental illness to be her passion, she decided to further her education at the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi and received her Baccalaureate in nursing. Following her time at MUW, she attended Walden University while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, she earned her master’s degree in nursing with a specialty of Primary Mental Health Nurse practitioner. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurse’s Association and an active alumni member at the Mississippi University for Women.
Summer is a lifelong resident of North Mississippi and looks forward to serving you and your families. She believes in a holistic approach that addresses the whole person and not just their mental health needs. Summer strives to provide her patients with individualized care in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

Lisa completed her Master of Science Degree from the Department of Counselor Education & Educational Psychology at Mississippi State University in 1993. She completed post-graduate course work at both the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi since 1997. She has been a National Certified Counselor though the National Board for Certified Counselors since 1995. She is a member of the Mississippi Counseling Association. She has worked as a therapist in both private and non profit settings for over 20 years. She has also presented at State conferences and to general audiences speaking on the value of Animal Assisted Therapies.
Lisa provides individual psychotherapy (generally aged 14 & up) and marriage/ family counseling. Her areas of practice and special interest include:

Lisa's primary therapeutic orientation is based on cognitive- behavioral principles; however, she tailors her approach to meet the needs of each individual, while capitalizing on their strengths. Lisa strives to develop a therapeutic relationship with her clients that encourages exploration, insight, and growth to provide them with the skills and confidence they need to improve the quality of their lives.
